Kids are important at First UMC

Children need a friendly and secure place to come to know about God and to develop lasting friendships. That is what we provide here at First United Methodist of Union County. Come and meet our Children's Pastor Tricia Wallace to hear where you can get plugged in!

We have Sunday School and Wednesday Nite Live! every week and many other activities throughout the year.


The Child Enrichment Center, CEC, preschool meets three times a week in the mornings. Our teachers are qualified, dedicated people that love the Lord and love children. The kids are well-prepared for kindergarten when they graduate.

Children's Sunday School Classes

By 10:00 am each Sunday, parents take their children to the Children's wing (upstairs in the older wing) and sign them in for their classes. Adult classes are also available.

Wednesday Nite Live!

  • FUNdamentals 3:30-5:00 pm
  • Angel Choir 4:00 pm
  • Dinner 5:00-6:00 pm

FUNdamentals is a time of fun and burning off steam after a long day at school. There is no cost and children will have a snack, time to do homework in a supervised atmosphere, play games in the gym and learn about God's plan for their lives. Pick-up is available from the Elementary School - contact Stan Wallace for details.
